Sharon McNellie, from Renfrewshire Women’s Aid, was presented with a cheque for £1,500 which will be used to support their work with women, children and young people affected by domestic abuse.
Renfrewshire Women’s Aid offers confidential, free advice and one to one support for women from women so that they can make their own decision regarding their future.
They run a drop in advice centre, offer telephone support, provide representation with statutory and voluntary agencies and can provide information on legal rights.
Renfrewshire Women’s Aid are also committed to supporting children and young people affected by domestic abuse. They are able to provide support workers who help with play sessions and trips for children and young people who access their service.
