New Committee member Elaine visited the Sewing2gether workshop for women who have settled in Scotland to meet and share language and cultures.

"Sewing2gether All Nations: Caring, Creating, Connecting is a grassroots organisation based in Shortroods. We provide creative upcycling workshops, a weekly language cafe, life skill training and practical support to refugees and asylum seekers who wish to practise English and build new friendships, with an aim to improve the health and wellbeing of the families we engage with. We are delighted to receive the generous donation of five sewing machines from P3 which will be used at our women's sewing group, teaching participants how to make items from donated textiles."
