Providing for People in Paisley supported ‘Roar Do Feet’ footcare service which offers toenail trimming and general footcare to older adults who are no longer able to look after their own feet due to ill health and/or long-term health conditions. Without looking after their feet, these individuals are more likely to be at risk of falling, becoming isolated, and suffering further serious health issues, all which may lead to hospital admissions and/or be fatal.
On 17th July a committee member visited the clinic held at the West End Centre and saw the equipment the grant enable and in use by the nail technicians
ROAR currently run four footcare clinics in Paisley - The West End (Wednesday /Thursday), St Mirin and Wallneuk.
Cassie Forbes said “The grant from Providing for People in Paisley is hugely appreciated and allowed us to purchase vital equipment for these clinics including nail clippers and nail files, personal protective equipment such as anti bacterial wipes, aprons, and face masks, as well as shoe horns and foot stools all of which are required to deliver our clinics in a safe and efficient manner.”
