In 2024, we are concerned to see another increase in caregivers who will not eat for several days to ensure their children can. Whilst we can support these families through our free food provision, The Community Fridge, we are aware of the additional pressure families experience during the school holidays. This financial strain is significantly impacting our community’s wellbeing and they are struggling to thrive. This donation will enable us to run a Breakfast Club for the community over the school holidays, giving them access to healthy food choices such as cereal, toast and fruit. We always see an exponential increase in engagement during the school holidays so the toaster will assist us in catering to this larger number in a more effective way.
